Dear
All
Greetings and I hope this finds you all well. I really do appreciate
all the support and encouragements you have given me. If I have
not replied to anyone's letters I sincerely apologise, I'm finding
my time very full at the moment and I would love to write more yet
it seems impossible at times.
I
wanted to write a wee note to give you an update on what is happening
with my work in AIM. This next bit may come as much of a surprise
as it was to me. It seems the door is closing for me to work in
Kisiizi hospital. It's a bit of a long story but some issues and
concerns are just coming to light that AIM now feel it would not
be right to send someone at this time. This decision has just been
taken in the last few days so you can imagine this is an unsettling
time for many folk involved.
AIM
have said that they do want me still to go out on Sept 20th, to
commence orientation in Kampala, Uganda. They have asked me to consider
a placement with street children in Kampala, to be a paediatric
nurse with a team working there. For those who even know me a bit,
will know that I just want to get out there and start doing something
useful. I don't like this uncertainty and being unsettled and in-between
places.
I
do trust that God knows what is happening and where I am to go.
I would appreciate your prayers for this situation and also for
the financial support needed before I go.
MUCH
LOVE
MARSALI
